1 Scope
This part of GB 25974 specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage for power set legs (hereinafter referred to as legs) and rams of powered support for coal mine.
This part is applicable to legs and rams of powered support for coal mine.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this part of GB 25974, the following terms and definitions apply.

Actuator
Any type of hydraulic linear reciprocating device referred in this part
3.2
Legs
The actuator approximately arranged in a vertical manner to produce supporting force of the powered support
3.3
Multi telescopic legs
Legs with more than one grade of telescopic stroke
3.4
Rams
All actuators which do not lie within the flow of the support force but which are necessary for the functioning of the powered support
