1 Scope
This standard specifies such contents as the requirements of the permissible limits of substances that are harmful human body and environment in solvent based coatings of polyurethane, nitrocellulose and alkyd for woodenware as well as the solvent lacquer putty for woodenware used for indoor decorating and refurbishing, test methods, inspection rules, packing mark, coating security and protection.
This standard is applicable to solvent based coatings of polyurethane, nitrocellulose and alkyd for woodenware (including base coat and finish coat) as well as the solvent lacquer putty for woodenware used for indoor decorating and refurbishing as well as coating in the factory. It is not applicable to radiation curing coatings and unsaturated polyester lacquer putty.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this standard.
3.1
Volatile organic compounds (VOC)
Any organic compound of which the initial boiling point is less than or equal to 250℃ under the standard pressure of 101.3kPa.
3.2
Volatile organic compounds content
The volatile organic compounds content obtained by test the product with the specified test method.
