Scope
This standard specifies general requirements for safety of small and medium size rotating electrical machines (motor and generator, hereinafter referred to as electrical machines) for general purpose.
This standard is applicable to small and medium size rotating electrical machines for general purpose. For small-power motors produced according to GB/T 5171, GB 12350 may also be adopted as the basis for assessment.
The general requirements for safety of other electrical machines may be used for reference.
