3 Product Classification and Size
3.1 Knitted swimming suits are classified into three types, i.e. one-piece swimming suits, two-piece swimming suits and swimming trunks.
3.2 The size of one-piece swimming suit: suitable net height and net bust shall be marked in centimeters.
3.3 As for two-piece swimming suits, suitable net height, net bust and net hip girth shall be marked in centimeters, among which, the upper wear with cups shall be marked in accordance with FZ/T 73012.
3.4 As for swimming trunks, suitable net height and net hip girth shall be marked in centimeters.
4 Requirements
The requirements are divided into inherent quality requirements and appearance quality requirements. The inherent quality covers indexes such as fiber content, formaldehyde content, pH value, peculiar smell, decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes, elastic elongation, elastic recovery percentage of elongation for resistance to chlorinated water (swimming-pool water), color fastness to soaping, color fastness to perspiration, color fastness to water, color fastness to seawater, color fastness to rubbing, color fastness to chlorinated water (swimming-pool water), color fastness to light and color fastness to patchwork; the appearance quality covers indexes such as surface defect spot, deviation of specification and dimension, dimensional difference at symmetric parts and sewing requirements.
4.1 Grading requirements
4.1.1 Quality grade is classified into high-grade products, first-grade products and acceptable products.
4.1.2 Quality grading: the inherent quality is graded by batch (delivery batch) while the appearance quality is graded by piece, the overall quality shall be graded by taking into all of them and the minimum grade prevail.
4.1.3 The inherent quality index with the worst test result is used as the grading basis for this batch of products.
4.1.4 The appearance quality is graded according to surface defect spot, deviation of specification and dimension, dimensional difference in itself and sewing requirements. Where appearance defects of different grades are found on the same product, the product shall be graded according to the defect spot of the minimum grade.
4.1.5 For one product, only two limit surface defect spots of the same grade are allowed; otherwise, it shall be reduced by one grade.
4.2 Inherent quality requirements
4.2.1 For inherent quality requirements, see Table 1.

4.2.2 Assessment on color fastness to patchwork is only applicable to products with deep color spliced with light color and is not applicable to light-colored decorative strip and Pilcot edge.
4.2.3 Assessment on longitudinal elastic elongation and elastic recovery percentage of elongation to chlorinated water (swimming-pool water) is not applicable to two-piece swimming suits.
4.2.4 Infant and children's swimming suits shall be in accordance with the relevant requirements of GB 31701.
4.2.5 The lining shall be in accordance with those specified in GB 18401.
