Specification for mechanical joggle-joint connection of prestressed concrete piles
1 General provisions
1.0.1 This specification is formulated with a view to apply the technology of mechanical connection in the design and construction of prestressed concrete pile, to ensure the quality, safety and applicability in construction, and also to improve work efficiency.
1.0.2 The mechanical connection technology included in this specification is applicable to 300-600 mm-outer diameter A-type and AB-type prestressed high-strength concrete piles (code name PHC) and prestressed concrete piles (code name PC).
1.0.3 In case that this specification is applied in the prestressed concrete pile foundation works in addition to the current national standard GB13476 Pretensioned spun concrete piles and the Guangdong Provincial Standard DBJ/T15-22 Technical specification for hammering type prestressed concrete pile foundation, the current relevant national compulsory standards shall be complied with.
2 Terms
2.0.1
mechanical joggle-joint connection
when prestressed concrete piles are connected, the connections joggled by connecting pins with connecting trough, bolt holes and other components embedded in the steel end plate of pile are referred to as mechanical connection for short
2.0.2
steel end plate
embedded steel plate at the end of prestressed concrete pile. This specification includes specialized steel end plate. The steel end plate with bolt holes for upper pile is referred to as steel end plate with holes for short. The steel end plate with connecting troughs for the lower pile is referred to as the steel end plate with troughs for short
2.0.3
connecting trough
component consisting of steel end plate with troughs that is punched and welded with connecting trough shell, serrated connecting block inside the trough shell, compressive spring and other components
2.0.4
bolt hole
component consisting of steel end plate with holes that welded with nut after drilling and tapping and closed connecting pin shell
2.0.5
connecting block
a pair of slide blocks which are oppositely hidden in the connecting troughs that have serrated teeth to clamp the connecting pin.
2.0.6
compressive spring
a spring hidden behind the connecting block in the connecting trough for fastening
2.0.7
connecting pin
connecting components for connecting upper and lower pile sections; the cross section at one end of the connecting pin is rectangular, the longitudinal sides are processed with serrated teeth and the other end which is a circular cross section and is processed with thread teeth
2.0.8
steel template
special standard testing tool for mechanical connection that is used to test the orientation of the connecting pin installed on the steel end plate with holes; different piles of different specifications correspond to different steel templates
3 Mechanical connection components
3.0.1 Mechanical connection components shall include steel end plates with holes, steel end plates with troughs, connecting trough, bolt holes, connecting blocks, compressive springs and connecting pins (see Annex C).
3.0.2 The quality, heat treatment, surface treatment and other performance and quality acceptance standards of mechanical connection component material shall meet the requirements of Annex A of this specification. The quality inspection and acceptance shall be conducted in the processing plant, and the certificate shall be provided to the pile manufacturer.
3.0.3 During the construction of prestressed concrete pile, the anti-corrosion coating on the surface of connecting pin, connecting trough and bolt hole shall not only comply with the design requirements, but also comply with the relevant requirements of 4.0.4 and 5.0.5 of this specification.
