4 Testing Personnel
4.1 Personnel engaged in magnetic particle testing & penetration testing shall possess appropriate non-destructive testing technology qualification certificate of ship recognized by the China Classification Society.
4.2 Personnel preparing the technology document (such as technology card and/or technology specification) shall possess corresponding non-destructive testing technology qualification certificate of ship above Grade II.
4.3 Personnel verifying the magnetic particle testing & penetration testing technology document shall possess appropriate Grade III non-destructive testing technology qualification certificate of ship.
4.4 Visual acuity of the testing personnel shall be inspected once a year, his/her corrected visual acuity shall be equal to or better than 1.0, and free from color blindness and color weakness.
5 Testing Equipment
5.1 Metering equipment for the testing must be metrologically calibrated by the organization with legal qualification; the organization shall issue a calibration certificate and guarantee the metering within the validity.
5.2 Magnetic particle flaw detectors shall meet the requirements of JB/T 8290.

Irradiance of ultraviolet 380nm to the filter plate surface of the black lamp shall not be less than 1000μW/cm3, and when supply voltage fluctuation of the black lamp is greater than ±10%, pressure stabilizer shall be installed.
5.7 Wavelength of ultraviolet irradiatometer is between 300~400nm, and its central wavelength is 365nm.
5.8 Wavelength of fluorescent brightness meter is between 430~520nm, and its central wavelength is between 500~520nm.
5.9 Ultraviolet irradiatometer, fluorescent brightness meter and illuminometer shall be verified annually by corresponding metering organization.
5.10 Ultraviolet irradiance of black lamp shall be inspected once a week.
5.11 Measuring range of illuminometer shall be greater than 1000lx.
5.12 Magnifier can magnify 2~10 times.
