4.2.2 The performance parameters of sewage pump shall be determined by the following methods:
1 The drainage flow qt of the sewage-elevating device shall be determined by the design peak flow of sanitary wastewater which is calculated in accordance with the relevant requirements of the current national standard GB 50015 Code for design of building water supply and drainage. When the sewage-elevating device is equipped with two or more sewage pumps to operate at the same time, the flow qb of each sewage pump shall be calculated using the following formula:
(4.2.2-1)
where,
qb——the flow of each sewage pump, m3/h;
qt——the drainage flow of the sewage-elevating device, m3/h;
n——the number of sewage pumps to be started simultaneously.
2 The head of sewage pump shall meet the requirements of the following formula, and be checked according to the vertical height from the highest point of outlet pipe to the lowest liquid level of sewage-elevating device as the static head:
Hb≥10(H1+H2+H3) (4.2.2-2)
where,
Hb——the head of the sewage pump, kPa;
H1——the height difference of sewage elevating, m, that is, the height difference between the outdoor outlet center of the sewage outlet pipe and the lowest water level of the water storage tank (cavity);
H2——the sum of the on-way and local resistance losses of the suction pipe and outlet pipe of sewage pump, m. When there is no solid-liquid separation device and filter at the inlet end, the local resistance loss shall be 20% of the on-way resistance loss. When there is a solid-liquid separator and a filter at the inlet end, the local resistance loss shall be 20% of the on-way resistance loss by more than 0.5m ~ 1.0m;
H3——the additional outflow water head of sewage pump outlet pipe, m. When the total head is less than or equal to 20m, it should be 1m ~ 2m; when the total head is greater than 20m, it should be 2m ~ 3m.
3 When selecting sewage pump, check the Q-H characteristic curve of sewage pump, and the pump flow corresponding to Hb shall be greater than or equal to the calculated drainage flow qb.
4.2.3 The water storage tank (cavity) shall be selected according to the following requirements:
1 The volume of water storage tank (cavity) of storage sewage-elevating device shall be calculated using the following formula:
V=V1+V2+V3 (4.2.3)
where,
V——the total volume of the water storage tank (cavity), m3;
V1——the effective volume of the water storage tank (cavity), m3. The drainage flow of the device within 2.0min ~ 2.5min should be taken. This volume shall be greater than or equal to the volume of outlet pipe between outlet pipe check valve and gooseneck;
V2——the volume of sewage left in the water storage tank (cavity) when the sewage pump is stopped, m3; in case of wet installation, the level when the pump is stopped shall be half of the motor height of submersible sewage pump, and shall meet the suction requirements for sewage pump;
V3——the volume of the space above the maximum liquid level of pump starting in the water storage tank (cavity), m3; the height of space above the maximum liquid level may be 0.1m~0.15m
2 The effective volume of the water storage tank (cavity) of the draw-off sewage-elevating device should be the product of the sewage pump flow and its minimum operating time.
