1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, sampling, inspection, conformity judgment and nonconformity disposal of food contact materials for cork, wood and bamboo articles.
This standard applies to cork, wood and bamboo articles that are expected to come into contact with or have come into contact with food in the state of finished import and export products.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

cork
cork layer from Quercus variabilis bark which is the surface protection tissue formed during the growth of Quercus variabilis, which is composed of many flat cells arranged by radiation
3.2
cork stopper
stopper made of one or several pieces of cork, or made by polymerizing cork particles, used to seal bottles or other containers
3.3
cork article
products that use cork as raw materials and with the basic characteristics of cork after being processed by mechanical or chemical methods
3.4
wood article
products that use wood or wood materials as raw materials and with the basic characteristics of wood after being processed by mechanical or chemical methods
3.5
bamboo article
products that use bamboo as raw materials, and still with the basic characteristics of bamboo after being processed by mechanical or chemical methods
3.6
food utensil
utensils whose designed purpose or intended use is obviously to contact food, such as cooking spoons, chopping boards and tableware (such as spoons, chopsticks, knives and forks) for processing food
3.7
food container
utensils for holding food, such as bowls, plates, cups, etc.
