1 Scope
This specification specifies the design, manufacturing, inspection and test requirements of centrifugal pumps for heavy duty services in petrochemical engineering and their drivers and auxiliary equipment.
This specification is applicable to the engineering design and equipment procurement of centrifugal pumps for heavy duty services in petrochemical engineering. Centrifugal pumps beyond the range of heavy load parameter may also be implemented by reference.
Note: the centrifugal pump for heavy duty services in petrochemical engineering refers to the centrifugal pump conforming to one of the following conditions:
a) Transmitting the flammable or hazardous medium unless otherwise specified;
b) Transmitting non-combustible and non-hazardous medium under one of the following operating conditions:
1) The rated discharge pressure is greater than 1.9MPa (G);
2) The operating temperature (medium temperature) is higher than or equal to 225℃;
3) The rated speed is greater than 3000r/min;
4) The rated lift is greater than 120m;
5) The maximum suction pressure is greater than 0.5MPa (G);
6) The maximum impeller diameter of cantilever pump is greater than 330mm;
c) The pump is in reversed operation and used as hydrodynamic recycling turbine.
