1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for the surface color and mark of petrochemical equipment, above ground piping and steel structures.
This standard is applicable to the design, construction and maintenance of surface colors and marks of equipment, above ground piping and steel structures of petrochemical plants and system units.

For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

surface
outermost layer of equipment, piping and steel structures (including thermal insulation external protection layer) that may be seen from the outside
3.2
surface color
color of paint film applied to the surface of equipment, piping and steel structures
3.3
mark
identification of information about equipment tag number, medium name or code, classification of medium hazardous characteristics, flow direction, etc., which is painted or listed on the local scope of the external surface of equipment and pipeline
