Technical Specification for Reduction Gearbox of Battery Electric Passenger Cars
1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of reduction gearbox of battery electric passenger car.
This standard is applicable to speed reduction gearbox of battery electric passenger car (hereinafter referred to as reduction gearbox).

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions specified in GB/T 19596 and those listed below apply.

positive rotation
install the reduction gearbox in required mode, when the vehicle goes forward, the input shaft of reduction gearbox will be subject to positive rotation

reverse rotation
install the reduction gearbox in required mode, when the vehicle goes backward, the input shaft of reduction gearbox will be subject to reverse rotation

positive drive
in bench test, input terminal of reduction gearbox provides driving force

reverse drive
in bench test, output terminal of reduction gearbox provides driving force
3.5
differential rate
the percentage ratio of rotation speed difference between two output terminals of differential mechanism to rotation speed at input terminal of differential mechanism

coast
the mode when the input driving force of reduction gearbox is cut off, it will continue to operate under inertial effect

5 Requirements
5.1 Basic requirements
5.1.1 The reduction gearbox shall meet the requirements of this standard and be manufactured according to the product drawings and the technical documents approved by the established procedures.
5.1.2 The appearance of reduction gearbox shall be clean and free from rust and oxidation phenomena.
5.1.3 Each fastener and charge/drain plug shall be tightened up or installed according to the tightening torque specified in technical documents, and they shall be free from looseness or missing assembling.
5.1.4 Each joint surface and oil-seal position shall be free from fuel leakage and meet the requirements of airtightness detection.
5.1.5 Each moving part shall operate flexibly and be free from abnormal noise caused by clamping stagnation.
5.1.6 Reduction gearbox shall be free from foreign materials affecting its cleanliness value.
5.1.7 The anti-salt mist capacity of reduction gearbox shall be able to meet the relevant requirements of GB/T 10125 and the test cycle is not less than 48h.
5.2 Bench test requirements
5.2.1 Dynamic airtightness performance.
Each sealing element shall be free from "drop"-shaped fuel leakage during test.
5.2.2 Temperature rise performance.
The fuel temperature of reduction gearbox during test shall not be greater than the maximum permissible temperature and the temperature-time curve shall be smooth and free from abrupt change.
5.2.3 High temperature performance.
The test process shall be free from fuel leakage phenomenon and the parts such as bearing, gear and oil seal shall be free from ablation or damage affecting the normal operation of reduction gearbox.
5.2.4 Fatigue life.
After completion of fatigue life test, main parts shall be free from damage, e.g. fracture, serious spot corrosion on tooth surface (with spot corrosion area greater than 4mm2 or depth greater than 0.5mm), stripping, clamping stagnation of bearing etc.
5.2.5 Driving efficiency.
Comprehensive driving efficiency shall not be less than 95%.
5.2.6 Differential reliability.
After completion of reliability test of differential mechanism, the differential mechanism shall rotate flexibly and free from abnormal noise caused by clamping stagnation.
5.2.7 High speed performance.
The test process shall be free from fuel leakage phenomenon and the parts such as bearing, gear and oil seal shall be free from ablation or damage affecting the normal operation of reduction gearbox.
5.2.8 Overspeed performance.
The test process shall be free from fuel leakage and abnormal noise and the parts such as bearing, gear and oil seal shall be free from damage affecting the normal operation of reduction gearbox.
5.2.9 Static torsional strength.
The reserve coefficient of static torsional strength shall not be less than 2.5.
5.2.10 Noise.
5.2.10.1 Loading noise.
The load noise of reduction gearbox shall not be greater than 83dB(A).
5.2.10.2 Coast noise.
The noise value of reduction gearbox operating under inertial effect shall not be greater than the noise value of it operating before cutting the driving force.
5.3 Cleanliness
The ratio of total content of impurities in reduction gearbox to the rated injection volume of lubricating oil shall not be greater than 50mg/L.
