3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2521.2, GB/T 2900.60, GB/T 9637 and YB/T 4292 as well as the following apply.
3.1 specific total loss (iron loss)
total power absorbed by the material per unit mass when the magnetic polarization changes sinusoidally with specific peak value and frequency, which is expressed by the symbol P(Jm/f) and in the unit of W/kg (or W/lb)
Example: P1.7/50 represents the specific total loss per kg (or lb) of the specimen measured at a magnetic polarization of 1.7T and a frequency of 50Hz; P1.7/60 represents the specific total loss per kg (or lb) of the specimen measured at a magnetic polarization of 1.7T and a frequency of 60Hz.
3.2 magnetic polarization (magnetic induction)
magnetic polarization refers to the peak value of magnetic polarization of a specific magnetic field intensity when the specimen is magnetized by an alternating magnetic field, which is expressed by the symbol J(H) and in the unit of T (Tesla)
Example: J800 represents the magnetic polarization corresponding to the magnetic field intensity H of 800A/m (expressed as a peak value).
3.3 specific apparent power
total power of AC power supply consumed by magnetizing an iron core per unit mass with the set magnetic polarization and frequency, which is expressed by the symbol Ss and in the unit of VA/kg
Example: Ss1.7/50 represents the specific apparent power of the specimen per kg measured at a magnetic polarization of 1.7T and a frequency of 50Hz.
3.4 A-weighted magnetostriction velocity level, LVA
sound pressure level of surface vibration caused by magnetostriction of electric sheet and strip in unit length along the magnetization direction when the magnetic polarization changes sinusoidally with time with a certain calibrated peak value and a calibrated change frequency
3.5 surface insulation resistance
DC resistance measured under specified conditions, that is, the resistance corresponding to the leakage current flowing through the surface of sheet and strip after polarization with DC voltage for a certain time, which is expressed by the symbol C and in the unit of Ω·mm2/side or Ω·cm2/side
3.6 inter-lamination resistance
