1. General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated with view to ensuring the safety, usability, advanced technology, economic rationality and quality of aluminum alloy window and door engineering.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the design, fabrication, installation, acceptance and maintenance of aluminum alloy window and door engineering of general industry and civil building.
1.0.3 In addition to those specified in this code, the design, fabrication, installation, acceptance and maintenance of aluminum alloy window and door engineering shall also comply with those in the current relevant ones of the nation.
2. Terms and Symbols
2.1 Terms
2.1.1 Main profiles
Splicing profiles used to fabricate the aluminum alloy window and door frame and sash as well as composite window and door.
2.1.2 Accessorial profiles
Additional profiles of auxiliary members inlaid or fixed on the main profiles of aluminum alloy window and door member system, serving for force transmission or certain functional action.
2.1.3 Main force-bearing components
The frame, sash and the spliced frame profile of composite window and door in the facade of aluminum alloy window and door, transmitting the self-gravity and horizontal wind load of the window and door.
2.1.4 Main force-bearing area of profile section
The main force-bearing area of profile section of aluminum alloy window and door withstanding vertical and horizontal load action, like the web, flange or conjunction force-bearing area where fixing other members.
2.1.5 Solar shading performance
The capacity of building window and door to separate the heat from solar radiation in summer, expressed by SC.
2.1.6 Installation with additional frame for fixing
An installation method as follows: additional metal frame is arranged for the wall door/window opening in advance, the wall gap receives filling and waterproof sealing, then the window and door is fixed to the additional metal frame after the completion of operation with additional frame for fixing.
2.1.7 Installation without additional frame for fixing
Filling and waterproof sealing treatment for door/window opening clearance during the decoration without additional frame for fixing where the aluminum alloy window and door is directly installed on door/window opening of undecorated wall.
2.2 Symbols

2.2.2 Physical performance
C - the design calculation coefficient of water-tightness performance;
△P - the pressure difference of water-tightness performance;
Tr - the light-transmission reduction coefficient;
Vo - the design wind speed of water-tightness performance;
ρ - the air density.
2.2.3 Material
E - the elastic modulus of material;
l - the length of component;
u - the bending deflection value of component;
α - the linear expansion coefficient of material;
fa - the design value of strength of aluminum alloy profiles;
fs - the design value of steel strength;
σ - the design value of stress;
γ - the plasticity development coefficient;
γB - the characteristic value of material gravity density;
γR - the partial coefficient of resistance;
γf - The partial coefficient of material performance.
3. Materials
3.1 Aluminum alloy profiles
3.1.1 The alloy designation, supply state, chemical composition, mechanical performance and permissible dimension deviation of aluminum alloy profiles used for aluminum alloy window and door engineering shall meet the requirements of "Wrought Aluminum Alloy Extruded Profiles for Architecture - Part 1: Mill Finish Profiles" (GB 5237.1). Ordinary grade may be selected for the permissible deviation for profile section dimensions while high or ultra-high precision grade shall be selected in case of any fit requirement.
3.1.2 The wall thickness for main profiles of aluminum alloy windows and doors shall be determined through calculation or test. Except profiles requiring flexible assembling (like batten or pinch plate), the minimum measured wall thickness for the mill finish profile section in the main force-bearing area of main profiles used for doors shall not be less than 2.0mm while that of main profiles used for windows shall not be less than 1.4mm.
3.1.3 In addition to the requirements of "Wrought Aluminum Alloy Extruded Profiles for Architecture - Part 2: Anodized Profiles" (GB 5237.2), "Wrought Aluminum Alloy Extruded Profiles for Architecture - Part 3: Electrophoretic Coating Profiles" (GB 5237.3), "Wrought Aluminum Alloy Extruded Profiles for Architecture - Part 4: Powder Coating Profiles" (GB 5237.4) and "Wrought Aluminum Alloy Extruded Profiles for Architecture - Part 5: PVDF Coating Profiles" (GB 5237.5), the surface treatment of aluminum alloy profiles shall also meet the following requirements:
1 Anodized profiles: the thickness of anodized coating shall meet the requirements of Grade AA15, the average thickness of oxide coating shall not be less than 15μm and the local thickness shall not be less than 12μm;
2 Electrophoretic coating profiles: the clear lacquer adopted for the surface coating of composite anodized coating shall meet Grade B requirements and the local thickness of composite coating shall not be less than 16μm; the colored paint adopted for the surface coating shall meet Grade S requirements and the local thickness of composite coating shall not be less than 21μm;
3 Powder coating profiles: the minimum local thickness of the coating on decorative surface shall be greater than 40μm;
4 PVDF coating profiles: the average coating thickness for the decorative surface of double-layer PVDF coating shall not be less than 30μm while that of three-layer PVDF coating shall not be less than 40μm.
3.1.4 In addition to the requirements of "Insulating Aluminum Alloy Profile with Thermal Barrier Strip for Construction" (JG/T 175) and "Thermal Barrier Strip for Construction Industry" (JG/T 174), the aluminum alloy thermal barrier profiles shall also meet the following requirements:
1 For composite aluminum profiles of strip-inserting process, polyamide 66 added with 25% glass fiber shall be adopted for thermal insulation materials while PVC materials shall not be used;
2 High-density polyurethane material shall be adopted for the thermal insulation materials for composite aluminum profile of pouring process.
