Synthetic resin emulsion coatings for interior wall
1 Scope
This standard specifies the product classification and grading, requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging and storage of the synthetic resin emulsion coatings for interior wall.
This standard is applicable to the coatings for interior wall, which are made from a mixture of pigments, extender pigment and various additives with the synthetic emulsion as base material and formed into a thin coating layer with smooth surface after application, including primer and finishing coat.

a Light color refers to the color of film formed by the light-color coating which is prepared by white coating (main component) and color paste (proper amount); its brightness is 6~9 (one of the tristimulus values, YD65≥31.26) according to the requirements in GB/T 15608-1995.
5 Test methods
5.1 Sampling
Product sampling shall be conducted according to the requirements of GB/T 3186 or with the agreed method. The sampling quantity shall be determined as required by inspection.
5.2 Test environment
Unless otherwise specified, the conditioning of the test plate and temperatures and humidity for the test shall meet the requirements of GB/T 9278.
5.3 Test substrate and processing methods
Unless otherwise specified, substrate shall be selected in accordance with Tables 3 and 5. The contrast ratio test shall be carried out with polyester film or cart paper conforming to those specified in 4.4 of GB/T 23981-2009, alkali burnout resistance test with non-asbestos fiber-reinforced medium-density cement plate (A.1.3), and other tests all with non-asbestos fiber cement plate, which shall be made of material and subjected to treatment according to the requirements of GB/T 9271-2008. As for the scrub resistance test, the substrate shall be polished with No.120 waterproof abrasive paper; prior to plate preparation, the flat and smooth substrate shall be adopted, with its planeness inspected with the following method: place a straightedge of longer than 430mm perpendicular to the non-asbestos fiber cement plate, with its longer side clinging to the plate surface, move it in the directions parallel to the long side and short side of the plate, respectively, and observe the clearance between the straightedge and the plate. If there is no obvious clearance upon visual inspection, it is deemed as meeting the requirements for planeness.
5.4 Preparation of test plate sample
5.4.1 Preparation of specimen
if the dilution ratio of the products under inspection is not specified, they shall be mixed uniformly for plate preparation; if it is specified, they shall be mixed uniformly at the specified dilution ratio for plate preparation to carry out the tests (except for contrast ratio test) requiring plate preparation; if the dilution ratio range of the product under inspection is specified, the medium value shall be taken.
5.4.2 Preparation of test plate samples for primer
5.4.2.1 Brush coating method may be adopted to prepare the test plate for primer. For each sample, the density D is determined according to GB/T 6750-2007 and then the brushing mass m is calculated using Formula (1):
