GB/T 45175-2024 Footwear - Test methods for whole shoe - Fatigue resistance of touch and close fasteners
1 Scope
This document describes the test method for fatigue resistance of touch and close fasteners on whole shoes after repeated closing.
This document is applicable to all kinds of touch and close fasteners used on whole footwear. Refer to this document for the raw materials of touch and close fasteners.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain requirements which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2703 and the following apply.
3.1
fatigue
under the long-term or repeated action of load and strain, the performance degradation or material damage caused by the accumulation of damage or deformation
3.2
fatigue resistance
ability of touch and close fasteners to resist fatigue damage after repeated closing under specified conditions
3.3
peel strength
force required per unit effective width to separate the bonded touch and close fasteners from one end under the specified test conditions
[Source: GB/T 3903.20-2008, 3.1]
3.4
shear strength
maximum force required to longitudinally pull apart each unit effective area of the touch and close fasteners in the designated bonding area under specified test conditions
[Source: GB/T 3903.20-2008, 3.1, modified]
3.5
shear force
maximum force required to longitudinally pull apart the touch and close fasteners in the designated bonding area under specified test conditions
3.6
effective width
width of the long side of a vertical touch and close fasteners, excluding the base edge
[Source: GB/T 3903.20-2008, 3.2]
4 Principle
Simulate the repeated closing process of touch and close fasteners when shoes are put on and off, test the performance change of touch and close fasteners after a certain number of times of closing, and evaluate the fatigue resistance of touch and close fasteners by peel strength, shear strength or shear force.
