This document specifies the product classification, sizes or specifications, requirements, and sampling rules of multifunctional knitted products. It describes the test methods, judgment rules, and provides information on instructions for use, packaging, transportation, and storage.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
multifunction
possessing two or more functions
Note: Excluding the conventional protective and decorative functions of clothing and accessories.
3.2
multifunctional knitted products
knitted products that are made of fabrics with two or more functions (accounting for 70% or more of the total area), or those that are pieced together from two or more different types of functional fabrics (with the combined area of these fabrics accounting for 70% or more of the total area)
Note 1: If the product is multi-layered, the functions of these layers shall cumulatively amount to two or more types, and the functional knitted fabric in each layer shall account for 70% or more of the total area.
Note 2: Multifunctional knitted products typically include knitted garments, knitted accessories, and knitted fabrics.
