3 Requirements
3.1 Product classification
The products are classified into three types according to the valence of vanadium ion: trivalent electrolyte, 3.5 valence electrolyte and tetravalent electrolyte. Each type is classified into two grades according to the impurity content: grade I product and grade II product.
3.2 Principal component content
The vanadium content, sulfate content and the proportion of vanadium ions with different valence in the product shall meet those specified in Table 1. When the purchaser has other requirements for the principal component content of the product, it shall be indicated in the order (or contract).
Table 1

3.5 Insoluble impurities
The product shall be free of insoluble impurities.
3.6 Physical properties
The supplier shall provide the conductivity and viscosity indexes of electrolyte in the quality certificate, and report them as measured values.
4 Test methods
4.1 Principal component content
The vanadium content and the proportion of vanadium ions with different valence shall be analyzed in accordance with the requirements of Annex A. The sulfate content shall be analyzed in accordance with the requirements of Annex B. In case of any disputes, it may be resolved through negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser.
