Woven Garments for Infants
1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, requirements, inspection methods, inspection classification rules as well as marking, packaging, transport and storage of woven garments for infants.
This standard is applicable to garments for infants with fabric woven with textile machine as main shell fabric. This standard may be implemented by reference for infant hat, gloves, socks and bib with woven with textile machine as main shell fabric.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 15557 and the following apply.
3.1
garments for infants
garments for infants with age of and less than 36 months
Note: it is generally applicable to garments for infants with height of and less than 100cm.
3.2

components attached on garments for infants with the functions of connection, decoration and description
4 Requirements
4.1 Instruction
The instruction shall comply with the requirements of GB 5296.4; as for size designation of teddies and dress, height/chest girth shall be marked. "No Dry Cleaning" shall be adopted as product maintenance method.
4.2 Size designation and specification
4.2.1 The size designation shall comply with those specified in GB/T 1335.3.
4.2.2 The specification for major parts shall be designed according to the relevant requirements of GB/T 1335.3.
4.2.3 Other textile shall be designed according to the main characteristics and specifications of the product.
4.3 Raw materials
4.3.1 Shell fabric
Shell fabric conforming to the quality requirement of this standard shall be selected according to the relevant standards of the nation regarding textile fabrics.
4.3.2 Lining fabric
Lining fabric suitable for the applied shell fabric and meeting the quality requirements of this standard shall be adopted.
4.3.3 Filler
Satisfactory fiber or its products shall be selected according to relevant standards of the nation.
4.3.4 Auxiliary material
4.3.4.1 Lapping cloth, decorative lace and bagging
The lapping cloth, decorative lace and bagging suitable for the properties of the used shell fabric and lining fabric shall be adopted and their quality shall meet the requirements of this standard.
4.3.4.2 Suture, drawstrings and cords, elastic ribbon
Suture, drawstrings and cords, elastic ribbon suitable to performance, color and luster of used shell and lining fabrics shall be selected and used (expect ornamental thread and tape).
4.3.4.3 Button, zipper and other attached components
Button (except decorative button), zipper and other attached components suitable for the used shell fabric shall be adopted. Button, decorative button, zipper and other attached components shall be surface-smooth and free of burr, damage, defect or accessible sharp tip or edge. The appearance of attached components shall not be similar to food, and buttons including two or more rigid parts shall not be used; slider of zipper shall be non-removable; the maximum dimension of attached components shall be greater than 3mm.
Note: accessible sharp tip or edge refers to any sharp edge or tip on finished product that may cause harm to human skin under normal wearing.
