4.2 Grading
4.2.1 Grading principle
The permanent linear change in dimension on heating of refractory fibre products is determined according to GB/T 17911, and the temperature at which the permanent linear change in dimension on heating does not exceed the following specified values is taken as the maximum service temperature, based on which the refractory fibre products are graded.
Refractory fibre board and rigid refractory fibre product and shapes: the permanent linear change in dimension on heating does not exceed 3%.
Soft products such as refractory bulk fibre and refractory fibre blanket, felt and paper: the permanent linear change in dimension on heating does not exceed 4%.
4.2.2 Grading
Refractory fibre products are graded from 850℃ to 1,750℃ according to the maximum service temperature when their permanent linear change in dimension on heating meets the requirements of 4.2.1. The interval is 50℃, and the maximum service temperatures are rounded down to integral times of 50, as shown in Table 2.

4.3 Marking
The marking of refractory fibres is expressed by the English name abbreviation of the corresponding fibre, as shown in Table 3. The main marking of refractory fibre products is composed of the English name abbreviation of the corresponding product, the first three digits of the maximum service temperature and the category, possibly followed by the auxiliary marking, as shown in Table 4.
