Switch machines for railways - Part 1: General specification
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 25338 specifies the terms, classification, technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of electric, electro-hydraulic and electro-pneumatic switch machines for railway turnouts [hereinafter referred to as "switch machine(s)"].
This part is applicable to the design, manufacturing and inspection of switch machines.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
locking
action of locking the switch bar or detecting bar of switch machine at the terminal position through mechanism
3.2
external locking equipment
mechanical equipment that switches rails with a switch machine and directly locks the switch rail with the stock rail, and the point rail with the wing rail
3.3
detector of trailing movement
bar in a switch machine that can check the state of turnout
Note: The bar can disconnect the detecting contact of switch machine in the railing movement.
