This standard is applicable to the general regulations of the dimensions, shapes, surface qualities, test methods and inspection rules for cold-rolled strips, hot-rolled (forged) flat materials and bars, cold-drawn pipes and wires made of soft magnetic alloys.
1 Dimension and shape
1.1 Cold-rolled strip
1.1.1 Dimension
The dimension and allowable deviations of the cold-rolled strip shall comply with the regulations in Tables 1, 2 and 3. For strips with thickness greater than or equal to 0.35mm, strips with a width greater than 300mm to 450mm may be supplied according to the requirements of the buyer, and the thickness deviations are allowed to be 0.01mm greater than those specified in Table 1.

1.1.2 Shape
1.1.2.1 Cold-rolled strips shall generally be delivered in coils or straight strips. They may also be delivered in coils by welded strips from the same furnace No., but the welded joint shall be marked with obvious marks.
Short-length cold-rolled strips are allowed to delivered without exceeding 30% of the total weight of the batch, but the shortest length shall not be less than 30% of that specified in Table 1.
1.1.2.2 Cold-rolled strips shall be free from bending and having obvious waves (the ratio of peak height to peak separation shall not be greater than 4%), and the camber shall not be greater than 3mm per meter. However, waves are acceptable on the strip with 0.02mm thickness or thinner when it is in a free state (without tension).
1.1.2.3 Cold-rolled strips shall generally be delivered with their edges cut, and they shall be free of cracks and burrs exceeding the allowable thickness deviation after edge cutting. Cracks and other defects are acceptable on strips with edges uncut but their depth shall not cause the strip width less than the minimum allowable width.
