GB/T 14986.3-2018 Soft magnetic alloys - Part 3: Iron-cobalt alloys
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 14986 specifies the terms and definitions, classification, order contents, dimensions, shape, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certification of 1J21, 1J22 and 1J27 soft magnetic iron-cobalt alloy products with high saturation magnetic induction intensity and high magnetostriction coefficients.
This part is applicable to cold-rolled strips, cold-drawn wires, hot-rolled flat billets and hot-rolled (forged) bars made of 1J21, 1J22 and 1J27 iron-cobalt alloys (hereinafter referred to as "alloy products").

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 14986.1-2018 apply.
4 Classification
Iron-cobalt alloys are sub-classified into the following three categories according to cobalt content:
a) F1: With cobalt content of 49.0%~51.0% and vanadium content of 0.8%~2.0%;
b) F2: With cobalt content of 34.5%~36.0%;
c) F3: With cobalt content of 26.5%~28.5%.
Note: They are also referred to as "iron-cobalt-vanadium alloys" in some publications.
