3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
down-proof property
property of a fabric to prevent feather, down, down fiber, and feather fiber from leaking out of its surface
Note: It is generally expressed by the amount of down leakage under specified conditions.
4 Principle
The fabric sample is prepared into a sample bag of a certain size and filled with a certain amount of down and feather fillers, or the down and feather product is directly cut into a sample bag of a certain size. Then, the sample bag can be placed in a plastic bag which is mounted on the apparatus, and then is squeezed, kneaded and rubbed, and the down-proof property of the fabric or down and feather product can be evaluated by counting the number of feather, down, down fiber, and feather fiber leaking out of the sample bag.
