1 General
1.1 Scope
This part of GB 7000 specifies requirements for portable general purpose luminaires, other than handlamps, for use with electric light source on supply voltages not exceeding 250 V. It shall be used in conjunction with GB 7000.1.

The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. However, parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. 2 General Test Requirements
The provisions of Chapter 0 of GB 7000.1 apply. The tests described in each appropriate section of GB 7000.1 shall be carried out in the order listed in this part.
3 Definitions
The definitions of Chapter 1 of GB 7000.1 apply with the following addition:
3.1 Candlestick luminaires
A portable luminaire having series connected lamps permanently mounted and separated on a free-standing frame.
Note: Candlestick luminaires may incorporate E5 or E10 lampholders.
