3 Terms and Definitions
3.1 Lactic acid bacteria
It is the generic term of a group of bacteria that can ferment sucrose and produce a great deal of lactic acid. The lactic acid bacteria in this standard mainly are Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium and Streptococcus.
