3.1
data storage system for automated driving
system mounted on vehicles equipped with automated driving function, and having the functions of monitoring, data collection and storage functions and supporting data readout during the activation of the automated driving system
Note 1: The activation period covers the process from the activated state to the inactive state.
Note 2: Data storage system for automated driving includes type I system and type II systems.

3.2
impact event
impact or other physical events that reach or exceed the trigger threshold, or any other events that result in the deployment of the non-reversible restraint, whichever occurs first
Note: Impact events of vulnerable road users (VRU) detected by the deployment of pedestrian protection devices or other systems are impact events.

moment when the data storage system for automated driving confirms the time when a specific event occurs
3.4
ending point of event
Tend
moment when the data storage system for automated driving confirms the time when a specific event ends
3.5
locked status
status where data cannot cover
3.6
field viewing angle
angle formed by the two edges of the maximum range of the lens through which the target image to be measured passes, with the center of the lens of the camera equipment as the vertex
3.7
time sequence event
event of storing the relevant data during the time before and after the event starting point around the event start point when the trigger condition is met
3.8
timestamp event
event of storing the relevant data of the event start point only when the trigger condition is met
3.9
automated driving function
function that driving automation system performing the full range of dynamic driving tasks continuously and automatically in place of the driver under specific design operating conditions
Note: The general term for driving automation functions at level 3 or above specified in GB/T 40429-2021, including conditional automated driving, highly automated driving and fully automated driving.

4 Technical requirements
4.1 General
Data storage system for automated driving includes type I system and type II systems.
The data storage system for automated driving of M1 and N1 vehicles shall be Type I or Type II, and that of M2, M3, N2 and N3 vehicles shall be Type II. The relevant requirements are as follows:
- Type I system shall meet the requirements of 4.2, 4.4-4.9;
- Type II system shall meet the requirements of 4.3-4.9;
4.2 Requirements data storage for type I system
4.2.1 General
4.2.1.1 When the automated driving system is activated, type I system shall record at least the following event data:
a) time sequence event: when a collision event meeting the requirements of 4.2.2.1 or a collision risk event meeting the requirements of 4.2.3.1 occurs, the data storage system for automated driving shall record data elements meeting the requirements of 4.4.2;
b) timestamp event: the data storage system for automated driving shall store the data elements meeting the requirements in Table 1, when the automated driving system is activated, exits, sends an intervention request, starts to execute the minimum risk strategy, has serious failure of ADS and vehicle, or the user manipulates the ADS exit device according to the requirements of GB/T 44721.
4.2.1.2 When the current time sequence event data storing is in progress, if a time sequence event occurs during this period, the relevant data of subsequent time period events may be stored incompletely, but at least the relevant data of subsequent time sequence events shall be stored according to the requirements in Table 1.
4.2.1.3 When data cannot be obtained due to failure, the data storage system for automated driving is allowed to incompletely store event-related data.
4.2.2 Impact event
4.2.2.1 Triggering condition
When the vehicle meets the requirements of 4.1.1 in GB 39732-2020, the event shall be stored.
4.2.2.2 Starting point and ending point of event
The starting point and ending point of impact events shall meet the following requirements:
