Infant feeding bottles and teats
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, transportation and storage of infant feeding bottles and teats.
This standard is applicable to infant feeding bottles (containers, teats and matched accessories) made of one or more of such materials as plastics, glass, metal, ceramic, silicone rubber, rubber, etc.
This standard is not applicable to medical feeding bottles and teats, nor to pacifiers.

For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

feeding bottle
apparatus consisting of a container, teat and matched accessories for infants to suck milk and other fluid food

container
container containing fluid food, marked with a numbered graduations and having a measuring function, for feeding infants through a teat

teat, nipple
component mounted on the container to replace the mother's nipple for infants to suck food
