This standard specifies energy efficiency grades, minimum allowable value of energy efficiency, Maximum allowable values of energy consumption for barbecue function, minimum allowable values of standby mode and off mode power consumption, target minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, evaluating values of energy conservation, test methods and inspection rules for household and similar microwave ovens (hereinafter referred to as microwave oven).
This standard is applicable to microwave ovens (whose rated input power is below 2500W) heating with electromagnetic energy within ISM frequency band (2450 MHz) and resistive heating components, including microwave single-function microwave oven, microwave oven with combination barbecue function and microwave oven with hot air convection barbecue function.
This standard is not applicable to commercial microwave oven, industrial microwave oven and microwave oven with range hood.
