Ultraviolet germicidal lamp
1 Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of low-pressure mercury vapor discharge ultraviolet germicidal lamps (hereinafter referred to as "lamps").
This standard is applicable to double-capped, single-capped or self-ballasted ultraviolet germicidal lamps with or without ozone and with a peak wavelength of ultraviolet radiation of 253.7nm, which are made of quartz glass.
This standard is applicable to lamps having a power below 65W.

For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
ultraviolet germicidal lamp
low-pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp made of quartz glass or other vitaglass, which discharges ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength of 253.7nm for killing bacteria and viruses
3.2
ozone output efficacy
ratio of ozone produced per unit time to the power consumed by the lamp when the lamp is lighted up under specified conditions, in g/(kW·h)
3.3
nominal value
value indicated on the lamp
3.4
rated value
specific value of lamp under specified working conditions, with such value and conditions specified in this standard or by the manufacturer or the seller
3.5
initial readings
startup characteristics of the lamp measured before aging and the ultraviolet radiation light, electrical characteristics and ozone characteristics measured after aging for 100h
