GA 844-2018 Forced entry resistant transparent material
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, grading and designation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of forced entry resistant transparent materials.
This standard is applicable to the design, manufacture and inspection of transparent plates such as forced entry resistant composite glass with forced entry resistance requirements.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

forced entry resistant transparent material
plates with forced entry resistance and light transmittance meeting certain requirements

surface of forced entry resistant transparent material first contacts the impact tool
4 Classification, grading and designation
4.1 Classification
After the impact test of the forced entry resistant transparent material sample, the product is classified as follows according to the state after the test:
a) Basic protection (Type P protection): cracks, openings or debris flaking on the back of the forced entry resistant transparent material is allowed, but it cannot cause a penetrating hole;
b) Full protection (Type S protection): the back surface of the forced entry resistant transparent material is smooth, no cracks or openings, and no debris flaking.
4.2 Forced entry resistance grading
Forced entry resistant transparent materials are classified according to the forced entry resistance, and the grading of forced entry resistance is shown in Table 1.
