Welding code for mechanical components of PWR nuclear islands
Repair of weld defects by welding
1 Scope and applicability
This standard specifies the technical requirements for the repair of weld defects by welding arising from the design, manufacture and installation of mechanical components of PWR nuclear islands.
This standard is applicable to repair weld defects by welding of carbon steel, low alloy steel, austenitic stainless steel, nickel-based alloy welds and weld overlays.
In case of inconsistency between this standard and equipment design drawings or corresponding technical specifications, the drawings and corresponding technical specifications shall prevail.
