This Code specifies the specification for welding procedure qualification (hereafter referred to as "qualification"), test method and approval standard before the fabrication, installation, overhaul, welding work and welder proficiency check work implementation of steel equipment like boilers, pipelines, pressure vessel and bearing steel structure in power sector.
This Code is applicable to welding procedure qualification of welding methods like shielded metal arc welding, argon tungsten arc welding, gas metal-arc welding, flux-cored arc welding, gas welding and submerged arc welding.
