1 Scope
This standard specifies the selection principle and method for surface condenser and auxiliary cooler tube materials in power plant.
It is applicable to the selection of tube material for surface condenser as well as surface heat exchanger that adopts water as cooling medium in thermal power plant and nuclear power plant.

pitting corrosion
the local pit corrosion generated from metal surface and developing inwards
3.2
pitting potential
the lowest corrosion potential at which pitting corrosion may be formed on passive metal surface in given corrosive environment
3.3
equilibrium potential of oxygen
the electrode potential when the electrode reaction of oxygen in water solution is in balance
3.4
brass tube
copper-zinc alloy tubes are collectively referred to as brass tube
3.5
copper-nickel alloy tube
copper nickel alloy tubes are collectively referred to as copper-nickel alloy tube
