3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 14536.1, GB/T 14536.6 and GB/T 20438.4 as well as the following apply.
3.1 Terms and definitions related to burning control
3.1.1
automatic burner control system
a control system composed of the programmable control device or all elements of the non-programmable control device and the flame detection device, and able to issue control commands, control starting sequence, monitor burner operation and generate controlled shut-down; various functions of the automatic burner control system may be designed in one or more control blocks
3.1.2
ignition safety time
the time interval from when the gas valve is turned on to when it is turned off for not detecting a flame signal
3.1.3
safety shut-down
gas cut-off realized through limiter, safety cut-off device or system internal fault detection
Note: It is revised with respect to GB 14536.6-2008, Definition 2.3.122.
3.1.4
defined state
The controller fault shall enter a state featuring one of the following:
a) the controller passively enters a state in which the gas is cut off; when the reason for entering the safe state no longer exists, it can only be restarted according to specific requirements;
