3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
on-board terminal
A device or system installed in an electric vehicle to collect, store, and send critical status parameters of the vehicle and its system components to the platform.
3.2
cloud platform
A platform for collecting, processing, and managing information of new energy vehicles, with the capability to interconnect with other platforms. It serves as a data center or management center for both data senders and receivers.
3.3
communication module
A component for near field communication between the vehicle and the battery swap infrastructure.
3.4
battery swap infrastructure terminal
A device or system installed in the battery swap infrastructure to collect and store battery data from the battery swap station and to perform bidirectional communication with the cloud platform.
3.5
telecommunication
A communication method where the battery swap vehicle and the battery swap station communicate over 4G/5G signals to achieve long-distance communication.
3.6
near field communication
A communication method where the battery swap vehicle and the battery swap station communicate directly via wireless signals within a set distance range.
3.7
battery swap infrastructure
The assembly of related facilities that provide electrical energy for electric vehicles through battery replacement.
3.8
network access vehicle
A battery swap vehicle that has entered into a battery swap agreement with a battery swap operator.
3.9
battery code
The product code of a traction battery, a set of numbers and English letters with specific informational meaning representing the main attributes and unique identification code of the traction battery.
3.10
upstream
The direction of data transmission from the battery swap vehicle to the battery swap infrastructure.
3.11
downstream
The direction of data transmission from the battery swap infrastructure to the battery swap vehicle.
4 System Architecture
4.1 Telecommunication Topology Diagram
The telecommunication topology between battery swap vehicles and battery swap infrastructure is shown in Figure 1. Telecommunication between battery swap vehicles and battery swap infrastructure is achieved through the on-board terminal, cloud platform, and battery swap station terminal for data interconnection. The cloud platform can be the vehicle manufacturer's cloud platform, the battery swap infrastructure cloud platform, a third-party established cloud platform, or a combination where both the vehicle manufacturer's and battery swap infrastructure cloud platforms coexist, provided that communication between the platforms is ensured.
5 General Requirements
5.1 On-board Terminal
5.1.1 When connected to the cloud platform, the on-board terminal should adopt an enterprise-defined communication protocol.
5.1.2 The on-board terminal shall meet the requirements specified in GB/T 32960.2, collect data from the vehicle and its components, and transmit the data to the cloud platform.
5.1.3 The data acquisition frequency of the on-board terminal shall be no lower than the data transmission frequency required by the national monitoring platform and the battery swap station operation platform.
5.2 Cloud Platform
5.2.1 The cloud platform shall possess communication capabilities with the on-board terminal and the battery swap station terminal.
5.2.2 The cloud platform shall monitor the data information of the battery swap vehicles and the data information of the swapped batteries both on the vehicle and within the battery swap infrastructure.
5.2.3 The cloud platform shall be capable of recording the binding and unbinding relationships between battery codes and vehicle VINs.
