Statistical Method for Popularity Rate of Standardized Agricultural Production
1 Scope
This document defines the relevant terms and definitions for the popularity rate of standardized agricultural production, and establishes the statistical method for this rate.
This document applies to the calculation or evaluation of the popularity rate of standardized production for primary agricultural products in sectors such as crop farming, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery for a specific year. The statistics for the popularity rate of standardized production at the provincial administrative level may refer to this document.
2 Normative References
There are no normative references in this document.
3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 standardized agricultural production
The process and outcome where agricultural production entities of a certain scale, aiming for optimal benefits or efficiency, carry out main or critical planting and breeding activities according to standards during the agricultural production process from the production site to harvest, and achieve expected objectives such as increased yield, improved quality, and enhanced efficiency.
NOTE: Main or critical planting and breeding activities refer to content related to the primary purpose of the breeding activity, production site environment, seeds/seedlings, agricultural chemical inputs, planting/breeding methods, quality and safety of agricultural products, etc.
3.2 popularity rate of standardized agricultural production
The percentage representing the scale of standardized agricultural production within a specific period and scope relative to the total scale of agricultural production within the corresponding period and scope.
NOTE: The popularity rate of standardized agricultural production indicates the degree and level of standardization in the production of primary agricultural products.
3.3 the rate of mechanization in crops plowing, planting and harvesting
The proportion calculated comprehensively between the area of mechanized operations in plowing, planting, and harvesting for major crops and the total sown area of these major crops.
NOTE: The comprehensive mechanization rate for major crops such as wheat, rice, corn, soybeans, rapeseed, potatoes, peanuts, and cotton is obtained by a weighted summation of the levels of mechanized plowing, mechanized sowing, and mechanized harvesting operations, with weights typically assigned as 4:3:3.
3.4 proportion of scale livestock or poultry
The ratio of the number of livestock or poultry slaughtered or kept in stock above a certain scale within a region to the total number of livestock or poultry slaughtered or kept in stock in that region.
NOTE: The scale breeding proportion for pigs refers to the proportion of slaughter numbers from farms with an annual slaughter of 500 heads or more to the total slaughter numbers. The scale breeding proportion for poultry meat refers to the proportion of slaughter numbers from farms with an annual slaughter of 10,000 birds or more to the total slaughter numbers. The scale breeding proportion for dairy cows refers to the proportion of stock numbers from farms with an annual stock of 100 heads or more to the total stock numbers. The scale breeding proportion for beef cattle refers to the proportion of slaughter numbers from farms with an annual slaughter of 50 heads or more to the total slaughter numbers. The scale breeding proportion for sheep refers to the proportion of slaughter numbers from farms with an annual slaughter of 200 heads or more to the total slaughter numbers.
4 Statistical Method
4.1 Popularity Rate of Standardized Agricultural Production
The annual popularity rate of standardized agricultural production is obtained by the weighted sum of the popularity rates of standardized production in crop farming, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery, calculated according to formula (1).
4.2 Popularity Rate of Standardized Crop Farming Production
The annual popularity rate of standardized crop farming production is obtained by raising the comprehensive mechanization rate of plowing, planting, and harvesting for major national crops for the corresponding year, as published in the "National Agricultural Mechanization Development Statistical Bulletin", to the power of a specified exponent, calculated according to formula (2).
3.561 —— Specified exponent.
4.3 Popularity Rate of Standardized Forestry Production
The annual popularity rate of standardized forestry production is obtained by raising the proportion of the output value from the planting and collection of economic forest products (including fruits, nuts, oil-bearing fruits and spice crops, tea and other beverage crops, forest medicinal materials, food crops, and forest product collection) in the primary industry output value of forestry for the corresponding year, as published in the "China Forestry and Grassland Statistical Yearbook", to the power of a specified exponent, calculated according to formula (3).
PForest=NForest3.561PForest=NForest3.561
Where:
PForestPForest —— Annual popularity rate of standardized forestry production, %;
NForestNForest —— Annual proportion of the output value from the planting and collection of economic forest products (including fruits, nuts, oil-bearing fruits and spice crops, tea and other beverage crops, forest medicinal materials, food crops, and forest product collection) in the primary industry output value of forestry, %;
3.561 —— Specified exponent.
4.4 Popularity Rate of Standardized Animal Husbandry Production
The annual popularity rate of standardized animal husbandry production is obtained by raising the national proportion of scale livestock/poultry breeding for the corresponding year, as published in the "China Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Statistical Yearbook", to the power of a specified exponent, calculated according to formula (4).
