1 Scope
This document defines the terms and definitions of pen products.
This document applies to pen-making professionals for formulating standards, compiling technical documents, writing professional manuals, teaching materials, books and periodicals, etc.

3 General terms
3.1
pen
writing tool with an ink supply system that can form traces on the writing surface

writing medium
substance containing a coloring material capable of forming stitches on a writing surface

writing front-end
general term for the front part of a writing tool used for writing

fountain pen
pen (3.1) with a device for storing writing ink, a metal nib welded with iridium particles, and writing by capillary principle.

golden fountain pen
fountain pen with gold alloy tip (4.1)
