1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, and evaluation rules for the smart elderly-oriented features for air conditioners.
This document is applicable to the design and evaluation of smart elderly-oriented functions for air conditioners.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 20002.4-2015, GB/T 28219-2018, GB/T 36934-2018 and, GB/T 36947 and the following apply.

people over 60 years old, including people that are 60 years old
Note: Older persons involved in this document are those who can take care of themselves, but face certain obstacles in using appliances that meet conventional technical requirements due to aging. Some older persons lose the ability to use appliances due to physical disability or mental disorder, therefore their needs will exceed the guidance scope of this document.

4 Technical requirements
4.1 Basic requirements
The user interface on air conditioners and mobile control terminals shall be equipped with prominent methods that allow users to directly access or be reminded and guided to enter the smart elderly-oriented mode, and there shall be a clear prompt upon successful entry.
Note: Prominent methods include but are not limited to buttons, text instructions, icons, and voice.
4.2 Safety
4.2.1 Safety of air conditioners
The safety of air conditioners shall meet the relevant requirements of GB/T 4706.32.
4.2.2 Cybersecurity of air conditioners
The cybersecurity of air conditioners shall meet the relevant requirements of GB/T 41789-2022.
4.2.3 User information security
The protection of user personal information security by air conditioners shall meet the requirements of GB/T 40979-2021.
