Test method for vanadium flow battery system
1 Scope
This document describes the test method for vanadium flow battery system.
This document is applicable to the research and development, production, manufacturing and testing of vanadium flow battery system (hereinafter referred to as "battery").

The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 29840-2013 and the following apply.
3.1
state of charge (SOC)
ratio of the remaining dischargeable capacity of a vanadium flow battery to its rated discharge capacity

Table 1 gives the test items of the battery.

5 Test preparation
5.1 General
The following items shall be included in the test plan:
a) Purpose;
b) Test specifications;
c) Qualification of test personnel;
d) The uncertainty of result shall meet the requirements of GB/T 27418;
e) Requirements for measuring instruments;
f) Estimation of test parameter range;
g) Data acquisition
5.2 Data acquisition and recording
The data acquisition system and data recording equipment shall meet the requirements of acquisition frequency and speed, and their performance shall be superior to those of test equipment.
5.3 Temperature inspection
Before carry out the test, confirm that the temperature of the battery electrolyte meets the test requirements.
