Specular Gloss Test Method for Ceramic Ware
1 Scope
This document specifies the test method for measuring the specular gloss of ceramic products.
It applies to the evaluation of corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, and other external factors affecting surface properties of ceramic ware.

3.1 Specular Gloss (GS)
Relative measurement value of mirror reflection intensity.
3.2 Gloss Standard Plate
Ceramic plate or polished black glass plate with uniform, wear-resistant surface.
4 Principle
The gloss value is determined by comparing the reflected light intensity of the sample surface at a specified incident angle with that of a standard gloss plate under identical conditions.
