3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
coarse filtration board
Paperboard used for primary filtration in the processing of beer, beverages, and other foods, compatible with plate-and-frame filters.
3.2
fine filtration board
Paperboard used for secondary filtration in the processing of beer, beverages, and other foods, compatible with plate-and-frame filters.
4 Product Classification
4.1 Filter paperboard for food processing is classified by use into coarse filtration board and fine filtration board.
4.2 Coarse filtration board is classified into Type I and Type II products based on filtration time.
5 Technical Requirements
5.1 The internal quality requirements for filter paperboard for food processing shall comply with the provisions in Table 1.
5.2 Filter paperboard for food processing is supplied as flat sheets. Product dimensions and specifications are produced according to the supply contract. Dimensional deviation shall not exceed ±2 mm, and inclination shall not exceed 5 mm.
5.3 The surface of filter paperboard for food processing shall be clean, free from defects such as damage, sand, hard lumps, blistering, or delamination.
5.4 The edges of filter paperboard for food processing shall be neatly cut, free from cracks, missing corners, or rough edges.
6 Test Methods
6.1 Sampling of Specimens
Sampling of specimens shall be carried out according to GB/T 450.
6.2 Specimen Conditioning and Test Conditions
For the determination of thickness deviation, filtration time, and filtration time deviation, the standard atmosphere for specimen conditioning and testing shall be according to GB/T 10739.
6.3 Thickness Deviation
Thickness shall be determined according to GB/T 451.3. Thickness deviation shall be calculated according to formula (1), and the result shall be rounded to two decimal places.
6.4 Filtration Time and Filtration Time Deviation
Filtration time shall be determined according to GB/T 10340, with a test pressure of 3 kPa and an outflow volume of 50 mL. During the test, the test liquid shall flow in from the intended inflow side of the specimen and flow out from the intended outflow side. Five valid measurements shall be taken. Filtration time deviation shall be calculated according to formula (2), and the result shall be rounded to the nearest 1%.
6.5 Wet Bursting Strength
Wet bursting strength shall be determined according to GB/T 465.1. For testing Type I coarse filtration board and fine filtration board, specimen preparation and apparatus shall comply with GB/T 454. For testing Type II coarse filtration board, specimen preparation and apparatus shall comply with GB/T 1539. The water immersion temperature shall be (23 ± 1)°C, and the immersion time shall be (60 ± 1) min.
6.6 Delivery Moisture Content
Delivery moisture content shall be determined according to GB/T 462.
6.7 Dimensional Deviation and Inclination
Dimensional deviation and inclination shall be determined according to GB/T 451.1.
6.8 Appearance Quality
Appearance quality shall be inspected visually.
7 Inspection Rules
7.1 Classification of Inspections
7.1.1 Factory Inspection
Products shall be inspected batch by batch according to the requirements of this document before leaving the factory. Products may only leave the factory after meeting the requirements.
7.1.2 Type Test
Type tests shall be conducted on similar products with the same raw materials and process at least once a year. A type test shall also be conducted under any of the following circumstances:
a) When product production is transferred to a new facility or line;
b) When the production process or raw materials are changed;
c) When production resumes after a suspension of more than three months;
d) When factory inspection results show significant differences from the last type test results.
7.2 Inspection Items
The specific inspection items for filter paperboard for food processing are shown in Table 2.
7.3 Batch Formation Rules
Products made from the same raw materials, of the same type, and delivered in one shipment constitute a batch. Each batch of products shall be accompanied by a product conformity certificate upon delivery.
7.4 Sampling Plan
Product acceptance inspection sampling shall be carried out according to the provisions of GB/T 2828.1, with the sample unit being a package. Acceptance Quality Limit (AQL): AQL is 4.0 for filtration time, filtration time deviation, and wet bursting strength; AQL is 6.5 for thickness deviation, delivery moisture content, dimensional deviation, inclination, and appearance quality. The sampling scheme adopts normal inspection, double sampling plan, with inspection level Special Inspection Level S-2, implemented according to the provisions in Table 3.
