Reactivedyes—Determinationofshadeandrelativestrength
1 Scope
This document describes methods for determining shade and strength of reactive dyes.
This document applies to cellulose fiber reactive dyes and wool reactive dyes for shade and strength determination.
2 Normative References
The following documents' contents are indispensable clauses through normative references in this document. For dated references, only the edition corresponding to the date applies; for undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 6687 and the following apply to this document.
3.1
X-type reactive dye
Reactive dye containing dichlorotriazine reactive groups in molecular structure.
3.2
K-type reactive dye
Reactive dye containing monochlorotriazine reactive groups in molecular structure.
3.3
KE-type reactive dye
Reactive dye containing two monochlorotriazine reactive groups in molecular structure.
3.4
KN-type reactive dye
Reactive dye containing β-vinylsulfone reactive groups in molecular structure.
3.5
M-type reactive dye
Reactive dye containing both monochlorotriazine and β-vinylsulfone reactive groups in molecular structure.
4 Principles
The reactive dye sample and the standard sample of the same variety are dyed under the same conditions on cellulose fiber or wool. The dyeing depth of the standard sample is taken as 100 points, and the shade is used as the standard for visual comparison or instrumental measurement to evaluate the shade and strength of the sample.
5 Reagents and Materials
Reagents and materials shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 3 in GB/T 2374-2017.
