1 Scope
This document defines the terms for the examination and approval of forest tree varieties, specifies the scope of examination and approval for forest tree varieties, the requirements for variety indicators, the requirements for regional trials, and the naming rules.
This document applies to the examination and approval of varieties of timber - producing tree species, economic tree species, protective tree species, and ornamental tree species.

3.1 Forest Tree Variety
