GB/T 1222-2025 Spring steels English, Anglais, Englisch, Inglés, えいご
1 Scope
This document specifies the ordering information, manufacturing processes, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packaging, marking, and quality certificate for spring steels.
This document is applicable to round and square spring steels with a nominal diameter or side length not greater than 180 mm, spring steel flats with a nominal width not greater than 180 mm and a nominal thickness not greater than 70 mm, and spring steel rods with a nominal diameter not greater than 40mm (hereinafter collectively referred to as spring steels). The designations and chemical compositions of steel ingots, steel billets and their products may comply with this document by reference.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 3207 and the following apply.
3.1
spring steels
steel having elastic properties and used for making springs or elastic elements
Note: The elasticity of spring steels depends on their ability to elastically deform, that is, within the specified range, the ability to elastically deform enables it to bear a certain load without permanent deformation after the load is removed.
