3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB 7956.1 and the following apply to this document.
3.1
water mist fire nozzles
A hose nozzle consisting of a shut-off valve, nozzle body, spray nozzle(s), etc., which uses water or foam solution as the extinguishing agent and is capable of discharging a mist-form extinguishing agent.
3.2
water mist fire extinguishing device
A device consisting of a pump (set) or gas cylinders, a hose reel, water mist nozzles, connecting pipes, etc., capable of discharging water mist for fire suppression.
4 Technical Requirements
4.1 Basic Requirements
Water mist vehicles shall comply with the provisions of GB 7956.1.
4.2 Vehicle Requirements
4.2.1 For water mist extinguishing devices driven by an independent gasoline or diesel engine, fuel refilling shall be operationally convenient. A clear fuel type marking shall be provided at the fuel filler opening. The fuel tank shall be equipped with a fuel supply shut-off valve. During operation, exhaust shall be discharged outside the vehicle, and the exhaust outlet shall not face the operator or the right side of the fire fighting vehicle.
4.2.2 For water mist extinguishing devices driven by an independent power source, the power source shall be easily replaceable, and its capacity shall be sufficient for the water mist extinguishing device to operate continuously for 1 hour under rated conditions.
4.2.3 For water mist extinguishing devices driven by the chassis engine, a manual engine speed controller shall be provided. The controller's operating mechanism shall be easy to operate and capable of maintaining a stable engine speed.
4.2.4 For water mist fire fighting vehicles using an electric vehicle chassis, the water tank capacity shall not exceed 1000 L. For water mist extinguishing devices powered by the chassis traction battery, power shall be taken from a dedicated power outlet specified by the chassis manufacturer. The protection rating of the power outlet shall comply with IP67 as specified in GB/T 4208. The battery shall have temperature monitoring, and shall automatically alarm and cut off external power supply when the permitted battery temperature is exceeded. After continuous discharge for 1 hour from a full charge, the remaining state of charge shall not be lower than 20%.
4.2.5 All automatic control mechanisms shall have manual emergency measures.
4.3 Operating Instructions and Marking Requirements
4.3.1 The water mist vehicle's operating location(s) shall have at least the following displays and controls:
a) Working pressure display;
b) Tank liquid level display;
c) Pump (set) speed control (applicable when driven by chassis engine);
d) Real-time state of charge display (applicable when battery-driven);
e) Pressure display before and after the pressure reducer (applicable when gas cylinder-driven);
f) Hydraulic oil level, oil temperature display (applicable when a hydraulic system is present);
g) Emergency stop function.
4.3.2 A piping diagram and operating instructions shall be provided at the water mist extinguishing device operating location(s).
4.3.3 All buttons and switches on the water mist vehicle shall have graphic or textual operating markings. All valves shall have markings indicating open/close or direction change. Indicating markings for water flow direction shall be provided on hydraulic pipelines.
4.3.4 Protective measures shall be provided at hazardous locations such as high temperature, high pressure, and high-speed rotation. Where the structure does not permit this, warning signs shall be provided nearby. The warning content shall include terms such as "High Temperature" and "High Pressure". The font size shall be such that operators can read it clearly.
4.4 Water Mist Extinguishing Device Requirements
4.4.1 Special Requirements for Pump (Set) Drive
4.4.1.1 For pump (sets) driven by an electric motor, the insulation resistance between external live terminals and the housing shall be not less than 100 MΩ.
4.4.1.2 For pump (sets) driven by an electric motor, a withstand voltage strength test of 1500 V shall be applied between external live terminals and the housing without breakdown or flashover occurring.
4.4.1.3 The pump (set) shall be capable of starting and reaching rated operating conditions within 30 seconds.
4.4.2 Special Requirements for Gas Cylinder Drive
4.4.2.1 Vibration damping devices shall be provided when arranging gas cylinders. Gas cylinders shall be equipped with overpressure protection devices.
4.4.2.2 For gas cylinder-driven devices, a pressure reducer shall be installed at the gas cylinder outlet.
4.4.2.3 The working pressure of the pressure reducer shall not be less than the nominal working pressure of the gas cylinders.
4.4.2.4 Once the working pressure of the pressure reducer is set, it shall be sealed with a lead
