General code for design of building water supply and drainage and water saving
1 General provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, for the purpose of protecting personal health, life and property safety, water resources and ecological environment safety, and meeting the basic needs of economic and social management in the construction of building water supply, drainage and water saving projects.
1.0.2 This code must be implemented in the design, construction, acceptance, operation and maintenance of building water supply, drainage and water saving projects.
1.0.3 The relevant responsible entities shall determine whether the technical methods and measures adopted in the project comply with the requirements of this code. Among them, innovative technical methods and measures shall be subject to demonstration and shall comply with the relevant performance requirements specified in this code.
2 Basic provisions
2.0.1 Building water supply, drainage and water saving projects shall be capable of responding to emergencies including natural disasters, accident disasters, public health events and social security events, and the operation and management units of the facilities shall formulate relevant emergency plans.
2.0.2 The flood control and waterlogging prevention standards of building water supply, drainage and water saving projects shall not be lower than the corresponding requirements for urban fortification in the region where they are located.
2.0.3 The materials, products and equipment selected for building water supply, drainage and water saving projects must be of qualified quality; the materials and equipment involved in domestic water supply must also meet the hygiene and safety requirements.
2.0.4 The technologies, equipment, appliances and products selected for building water supply, drainage and water saving projects shall be water-saving and energy-efficient.
2.0.5 The facilities related to production safety, environmental protection and water saving in building water supply, drainage and water saving projects shall be designed, constructed and put into operation simultaneously with the main project.
2.0.6 Corresponding operation standards shall be formulated and strictly implemented for the operation, maintenance and management of building water supply, drainage and water saving projects.
2.0.7 The noise, waste water, waste gas and solid waste generated during the construction and operation of building water supply, drainage and water saving projects shall not cause harm to the building environment and personal health.
2.0.8 Strict management shall be implemented for flammable, explosive and toxic hazardous chemicals used and generated during the operation of building water supply and drainage facilities, so as to prevent personal injury and catastrophic accidents.
2.0.9 Protective measures that do not compromise public safety shall be taken for water supply and drainage pipelines, equipment and structures located in public places.
2.0.10 Equipment and pipelines shall be accessible for installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance and repair.
2.0.11 The anti-corrosion and anti-freezing measures for pipelines, equipment and structures shall be determined according to the corrosive properties of the stored or transmitted media and the ambient conditions.
2.0.12 For underground water supply and drainage pipelines laid within the protection range in collapsible loess areas, corresponding protective measures shall be taken in accordance with the collapsibility grade.
2.0.13 The covers of outdoor inspection manholes shall be equipped with anti-theft and anti-falling measures, and the covers of inspection manholes and valve manholes shall be marked with attribute identification. For inspection manholes and valve manholes located in carriageways, manhole covers and frames with sufficient bearing capacity and sound stability shall be adopted.
2.0.14 Protective and sealing measures shall be taken for water supply and drainage pipelines passing through the enclosure structure of civil air defense basements.
2.0.15 The raw water quality for domestic hot water, swimming pools and public hot water massage pools shall comply with the relevant provisions of the current national standard GB 5749 Standards for drinking water quality.
3 Design of water supply system
3.1 General requirements
3.1.1 The water supply system shall be capable of ensuring uninterrupted water supply to buildings or residential quarters, and the water quality, water quantity and water pressure of the water supply shall meet the normal water demand of users.
3.1.2 The water quality of domestic drinking water shall comply with the provisions of the current national standard GB 5749 Standards for drinking water quality.
3.1.3 Secondary water supply facilities shall not affect the normal water supply of the urban water supply pipe network.
3.1.4 The water supply pipelines of self-built water supply facilities are strictly prohibited from being directly connected to the urban water supply pipelines. Domestic drinking water pipelines are strictly prohibited from being connected to non-domestic drinking water pipelines such as building reclaimed water and reused rainwater pipelines.
3.1.5 The domestic drinking water supply system shall not be polluted by backflow from pipelines and facilities, and reliable backflow prevention measures shall be taken according to the nature of backflow and the hazard degree of backflow pollution.
3.2 Water supply pipe network
3.2.1 The water supply system shall make full use of the pressure of the outdoor pipe network for direct water supply, and the water supply mode and water supply zoning of the system shall be reasonably determined according to factors such as building purpose, building height, application requirements, performance of materials and equipment, maintenance and management, and operation energy consumption.
3.2.2 The working pressure of pipes, pipe fittings and connection methods adopted in the water supply system shall not be greater than the nominal pressure or the nominal allowable working pressure specified in the current national standards; the nominal pressure of valves adopted shall not be less than the nominal pressure of pipes and pipe fittings.
3.2.3 The main pipes of the outdoor water supply pipe network shall be arranged in a looped network.
3.2.4 Outdoor buried water supply pipelines shall not affect the foundation of buildings, and their distance and position relative to buildings, other pipelines and structures shall ensure water supply safety.
