1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements for operating adventure (Tuozhan) venues, including qualifications for personnel, venues and facilities/equipment, safety equipment, auxiliary facilities/equipment, hygiene and environmental management, and safety assurance requirements.
This document applies to the construction, operation, management, and inspection of various types of adventure venues open to the public.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Adventure (Tuozhan) venue
A space for experiential activities conducted under the guidance of professionals in natural or artificial settings, aimed at developing physical fitness while fostering comprehensive development of psychological health, personality, and social adaptability.
3.2
Adventure (Tuozhan) instructor
Personnel who impart adventure theory and skills, guide adventure activities, and participate in safety management.
4 Personnel Qualifications
Adventure instructors shall possess the corresponding professional technical competence and shall be trained and qualified before assuming their posts.
5 Venues, Facilities, and Equipment
5.1 Venue Requirements
5.1.1 The site selection for an adventure venue shall comply with relevant regulations concerning electricity, navigation, transportation, heating, etc., to ensure safe distances.
5.1.2 Adventure venues shall be located away from flammable, explosive, toxic, and hazardous environments, as well as areas prone to natural disasters such as landslides and mudslides.
5.1.3 Natural adventure venues involving water shall be located away from dangerous areas such as deep water, swift currents, and whirlpools.
5.1.4 Adventure venues shall take effective measures to avoid accidental risks arising from interference from light and noise in the activity space.
5.2 Facility and Equipment Conditions
5.2.1 The design of adventure venues shall comply with the provisions of GB 50007, GB/T 50010, and GB 50017.
5.2.2 The foundation structure shall pass inspection and meet the following requirements:
- The foundation structure shall show no uneven settlement, cracking, or loosening;
- Parts of the foundation surface protruding above ground shall be treated to have no sharp corners or edges, with a fillet radius not less than 20 mm;
- Parts of the foundation surface protruding above ground shall have cushioning treatment;
- The area around foundation surface anchor points shall be raised locally by 150 mm above the surrounding ground.
5.2.3 The facility structure shall meet the following requirements:
- If crossbeams are installed, the upper ends of the main uprights of the facility shall be firmly connected to the crossbeams;
- All rigid uprights shall be perpendicular to the installation surface, with a perpendicularity not exceeding 1/200.
5.2.4 The design service life of facilities and equipment shall not be less than 10 years.
5.2.5 The main structure of adventure facilities shall undergo load design calculations. The determination and calculation of loads shall comply with the provisions of GB 50009. Load design shall include wind loads, snow loads, impact loads from personnel, etc.
5.2.6 The load-bearing capacity of adventure venue facilities and equipment shall meet the following requirements:
- The load-bearing capacity of components for overhead protection points shall be not less than 10 kN;
- The load-bearing capacity of components for ground protection points shall be not less than 5 kN;
- The load-bearing capacity of suspension components absorbing jump impact shall be not less than 7.5 kN;
- The load-bearing capacity of ladder steps and foot holds for elevated frames shall be not less than 2 kN;
- The load-bearing capacity of other climbing support components shall be not less than 3 kN.
5.2.7 The test method for the load-bearing capacity of adventure venue facilities and equipment shall comply with the provisions in Appendix A of GB 19079.4-2025.
