This standard is applicable to cereal-based complementary foods for follow-up infants and young children aged 6–36 months.

3 Product classification
3.1 Cereal-based complementary foods for infants and young children
Cereal-based complementary foods for infants and young children which are either prepared for consumption with milk or other appropriate liquids containing protein, or in ready-to-eat form.
3.2 High-protein cereal-based complementary foods for infants and young children
Cereal-based complementary foods for infants and young children added with high-protein materials, which are prepared for consumption with water or other suitable protein-free liquids, or in ready-to-eat form.
