1 Scope
This document defines the terminology for point flame detectors, specifies the classification and naming, requirements, inspection rules, and marking, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document applies to the design, manufacture, and inspection of point flame detectors (hereinafter referred to as "detectors") used in industrial and civil buildings.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Infrared Flame Detector
A detector that produces alarm decision-related responses only to infrared radiation with wavelengths greater than 850 nm.
3.2 Ultraviolet Flame Detector
A detector that produces alarm decision-related responses only to ultraviolet radiation with wavelengths less than 300 nm.
3.3 Response Point D Value
The maximum distance within 30 seconds that a detector can reliably issue a fire alarm signal when exposed to specific flame radiation.
Note: Dmx, Dmin, and D represent the maximum, minimum, and average values of the response point D values, respectively. The response point D values are determined according to the method specified in 6.1.5.
3.4 Sensitivity
A measure of the detector's ability to detect fires.
3.5 Sensitivity Adjustment
The function to adjust the alarm conditions of the detector or its control and indication equipment to achieve sensitivity changes.
4 Classification and Naming
4.1 Detectors are classified by detection principle as follows:
a) Infrared flame detector (hereinafter referred to as "infrared type");
b) Ultraviolet flame detector (hereinafter referred to as "ultraviolet type");
c) Red-ultraviolet composite flame detector (hereinafter referred to as "composite type").
4.2 Detectors are classified by environmental adaptability as follows:
a)Type A;
b)b) Type B.
c)Note: Type B improves the requirements for light interference resistance (see 5.15), climate environment tolerance (see 5.18), and enclosure protection (see 5.22) compared to Type A. It also adds requirements for optical surface contamination monitoring (see 5.14),
anti-light interference performance (see 5.16), and thermal interference resistance (see 5.17). Type B is marked with (-25°C) or (-40°C) based on the low-temperature (operating) test conditions (see 5.18.1).
4.3 Detectors are classified by sensitivity as follows:
a) Level 1 (25m);
b) Level 2 (17m);
c) Level 3 (12m);
d) Level 1S [indicated by the manufacturer with a distance Lm greater than 25m, marked as 1S(Lm) level].
5 Requirements
5.1 General Requirements
Detectors shall meet the requirements of this chapter and undergo tests according to Chapter 6 to confirm compliance with these requirements.
5.2 Appearance
Detectors shall be supplied in complete factory packaging. The detector surface shall have product markings, and the packaging shall include quality inspection合格 marks and user manuals. The detector surface shall have no signs of corrosion, peeling, or bubbling of the coating layer, no obvious scratches, cracks, burrs, or other mechanical damage, and no loose fastening points.
