1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms, definitions, test devices and methods for testing the performance for quasi-static ultrasound strain elastographic by using sonoelasticity phantom.
This standard is applicable to the quasi-static strain elastographic of human tissue based on the principle of ultrasonic echo imaging.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB 10152-2009, as well as the following, apply.
3.1
quasi-static ultrasound strain elastographic
technique to apply pressure from the outside through the body surface, or use the pressure generated by respiration and heart beats to obtain the local strain distribution and display it in image by means of ultrasonic echo and processing the RF signals collected before and after pressurization
3.2
depth of penetration of strain elastographic
maximum depth from the lowest boundary of the target that can be detected and displayed to the acoustic window of the phantom
Unit: mm.
3.3
Young′s modulus ratio
ratio of Young's modulus, which refers to the ratio of the Young's modulus of the measured area (target) in the phantom to that of the background material in this document
3.4
strain ratio
ratio of the measured area (target) in the phantom to the strain of the background material in the process of quasi-static strain elastographic
3.5
spatial resolution of strain elastographic
minimum target size at the specified depth that the strain elastic image can display
3.6
geometric error of strain elastographic
percentage error of the target size displayed by the elastographic image relative to its actual size
The calculation equation is: (D0 − D)/D0 × 100%
where, D0 is the size of the target, D is the size of the strain or elastic image.
Geometric errors can be for length, area, or volume.
